The Emberites have to work really hard  to be able to stay for 6 months in the city of Sparks.  After those 6 months, they have to leave and form and build their own city.   They got to Geranny Butler's house and got honey and then while they were leaving Granny Butler said that The mystery of Ruby June is about to unravel! After that they went home and Ceder stays with Ruby as Peter goes home. They are standing in front of the doctor's office and Ceder starts saying bad,bad,really bad words. Mr. Doctor came out, took him into his office, examined him, and told him that he Cussitis and has to do 4 steps (1of them is crying ) to not have it anymore.
   The next day Ruby goes to Peter's house and meets all of his brothers and sisters.

    Today I read that Charlotte,Luanne, and Gracewere going to give Petunia a card, and some flowers. Charlotte thought that would not be enough, so she decided that she would paint a picture of her house to give to her. Charlotte's mother was going to take Luanne, Grace, and Charlotte to go see Petunia up at the hostpital but she said that she did not want them to see her looking so bad. 

     It was Christmas and Charlotte was worried that she still had not gotten the $125 to keep Beaugaurd. But her dad is still going to sell him. Justin Lee finally learned ho wto open gifts,but he starts to cry when there is no more. The doorbell rang and Charlotte's mom went to go get it and it was Rhonda. She brought a little box. Charlotte opened it and it was the check for $125 from Petunia. Now she can finally give Beaugaurd to the shelter. Hopefully Beaugaurd was sent to a really happy family. Charlotte got a letter from the shelter and she saw a picture of the family with Beaugaurd and the twins hugging him so tight. Then she looked down and saw a note that said that they love the dog and sent it to obedience school to get tranded. Charlotte had actully dreamed about Beaugaurd having a good family. Charlotte had actully missed him being gone. The girls went to Petunia's house for a visit because she is home from the hostpital. They got together on a Friday as usual to play echre. Charlotte took her letter of Beaugaurd to show to her friends. They went back to thank Kathleen. They went to go see the other dogs and saw on that looked like Beaugaurd. Kathleen had asked them to do a thing this summer with kids to get to pet the dogs in the summer and Luanne, Grace, and Charlotte all said they wold do it.

Tonight I read that everyone came out except the mayor,three guards and Looper. They were all trying to get all the good stuff and be the first ones out. Then two guards acidently slipped and fell in but grabbed on to a boat. All the goods fell out of the boat when they grabbed it.Then Looper and the other guard tried to pull them up. But then they fell in. All was left was the mayor who jumped into a boat and the flipped . But once everyone was out they saw a gray mark threw the ground. And kept following it.

Way Down Deep- Catherine- 48- 70-(4/13/11)

Ruby shows Peter and his grandfather all around Way Down and they hear the Fuller triplets speak the gospel in the street. After they go to the Roost and Ruby shows them around there and Peter and Bird(his grandfather) meet some of the people that live there.The next morning Miss Arbutus needs some more honey, so Peter and Ruby go Way Up that-a Way to Granny Butler's house to get some. While they were hiking up the trail, Peter tells Ruby why Bird kept mumbling panther yesterday. It was because a little girl had dissipeared a long time ago during the night and everyone thought that a panther had eaten her. Anyway... they are still hiking up the trail to Granny Butler's house when I left off.

  Annie goes over to Rebecca's house.  Rebecca's and the babysitter,Tracy are digging a hole for FUZZBY'S FUNERAL!!!!!!  Annie feels a weird feeling and makes Rebecca mad at her for leaving.  The next day they wash car.  Rebecca is still mad at her and finds a new friend.  Doug shows up and want a bike wash. They spray him and he acts like he is taking a shower!.!.!.!.!.!
  Mrs Finch and Annie dig up weeds.  Then Mrs. Finch shows her some speical photos that her husband took ( he is dead).  Mrs Finch tells her that she needs to open her umbrella ( that means not to be worried so much).  They make a deal that if Annie stops reading the book about diseases that Mrs. Finch will hang up one of the fish photos!!!!!!!

I read about how the Merrimac retreated after the Monitor had to get more ponder and gun powder from the top. That day also, Captain  Worden  was blinded and they ate supper with a naval soldier and talked about the battle.

The People of Sparks Drue 1-23 April 13, 2011

In my book after the people come out of the city of Ember they started on a road.  While they were on the road they started running out of food.  Poppy is getting sicker and sicker.  After following the road for a couple days they finally come to a city, but it is not what they thought it would look like.  The city looks old and gray, but they are still happy to see something that could help them.

Spy Mice For Your Paws Only 102-FINISHED Hannah

Glory & her fellow mouse pals made up a plan that would let them spy on Roquefort Dupont. It would involve her let Dupont capture them so she could secretly set up spy camera tools. The plan works until she saw Fumble, a mouse on HER TEAM! Then, an ugly rat lady said that they could have Glory to eat after she made slippers out of Glory! Her mouse pals come to rescue her but they lose another mouse! So both of the mice are in trouble now. But, in the end of the book, B-nut rescues them successfully and they defeated Dupont.     For now though.












Can't wait to read Goldwhiskers:-)

Peter and the Starcatchers Mary Frances

I read pages 341-398. Peter and Molly are arguing about who should go where and do what. Molly stays with the boys while Peter goes up and sees what is on the other side of the hill.  Peter sees Admm, a porpoise, and then he sees the trunk.  He also sees some mermaids and one of them is hurt.  Peter thinks to himself should he use the last of the starstuff or not.  He decides to use the starstuff on the moaning mermaid.  After he puts the starstuff on the mermaid, she starts kissing him.  After that is over, Peter needs to get the trunk from Slank and Little Rich.  He goes back to Molly and Slank has her by the hair.  Admm and the mermaids (7) help Peter get the trunk back.  Slank says he has a bargain for Peter; if Peter lets him have the trunk, he will give him Molly. Peter says OK, but then Slank takes Molly with him because he is one of the others.

Today I read that Mandy needed supplies from all the helpers around the house. She went and worked on the house. She is gonna fix it up.

Today I read that Charlotte was walking home from Prtunia's house and it was cold and the wind is downright. When she gets home she goes to look at Beaugaurd. He doesn't want a belly rub right away but want to get one when she leaves him there. When she goes back inside she took the book on how to do it an dwent to her room. She had to come down because it was time for dinner. After dinner she went upstairs and went to bed. Then she woke up and she wanted to get Beaugaurd to come inside so she went to go and get him and he came and laid down by the couch. When her alarm went off she put Beaugaurd back in the backyard.
Later that afternoon Charlotte went to Petunia's house and she was with Grace and Luanne. When they were there she was so surprised to see her. They came over so Petunia can teach them how to play euchre. They played euchre and learned about Petunia's live when she was young. Petunia told them about her live and how she was the vice president of the bank in New York. Charlotte told the story about Beaugaurd and how she only had to pay $25 after she was done. But Petunia said that she could find something for Charlotte to do to get that $25. After they left they went over to Grace's house and watched a movie and had Charlotte braid Luanne's hair. When Charlotte went to Petunia's she thought alot about how many changes had happened in the last month. When she arrived she saw Petunia lying on the floor. Petunia fell down the stairs and broke her hip, and went to the the hostpital. Charlotte calls and lets Luanne and Grace know that Petunia got hurt. Petunia is going to have to stay in the hostpital for a while. Charlotte was worried that she was not going to earn all of the money she needs. Agnes walked downstairs and saw Charlotte with Beaugaurd in the house because it was it was cold outside. She and Charlotte talked about how she could earn the reat of the money.

Little did he know he had one of the most valuable cards in history. When Griffin got home he turned on the T.V and saw Mr. Palomino on it ,when he saw his card in Mr. Palomino's hand saying it was worth almost 1,000,000 dollars. So Griffin made a plan to get the card back, but Ben said he wouldn't get the card back with him.

They go and spi on Mrs.Finch but they get caught.  Doug jumps out and scares Annie.  She falls and srapes her knee. She starts to cry and Mrs. Finch appeares and helps her up.  Mrs. Finch put a band aid on Annie and macks some tea to make her feel better.  When they are done Annie asked if she has a disease book. She says no but she does have one book. It turned out to be Charlotte's Web.

    Ruby is dooing her aarons for Miss Arbutis by running to the bank and exchanging a couple of dollar bills. While she was there a "robber" came in the bank pretending to try to steal money. He really wasn't trying to steal money, although he didn't have any money to make a living with his 5 boys. When the policeman came in to exchange some money too, he found the robber there and questioned him. His name is Bob Reeder and has 5 sons, his wife died 6 moths ago, and has a grandfather that isn't all there. Mr.Reeder and his family move into Way Down and Ruby has just met up with one of his sons, Peter, on the street.

I read pages 300-341. Peter and his men are stuck in a cage with a alligator. Molly, comes and drops Peter her locket wich is filled  with starstuff.Peter opens the locket and spinkled some on him and his men.(he sprinkled some on the alligator too.) Slank and Little Rich on the other hand found the treasure. The mermaids though started biting the boat and the water leaked into the boat. Peter and Molly and the boys made it to the beach. That is where i left off.

Olive moves into a house that is no regular house.  Mrs. McCantey lived in the house before her but died an unknown death.  Olive knows there is something odd about the paintings that cover the walls.  She got a little scared and tried to take them down, but they are unusually stuck to the wall.  She got up one night to stare at them to see if she saw anything weird in them, and she did.  There were shadows that moved across the surface of the painting.

When she went back to Petunia's house she was sitting on her wingback chair reading another book. Charlotte saw a picture oh her father painting her house, he was so excited of his work. When she was finished she asked if there was any more picture she could look at. So Petunia told her that there was some more photos in a photo album in the den. So when she was finidhed looking at that Petunia asked her for some cookies, and lemonade. When she was eating Petunia had asked if she was getting bored taking care of her. So she said that she said that she would only need someone to get the mail, and get stuff at Grater's. So when they were not talking about that anymore they went and played rummy, Petunia won 4 times, Charlotte won 1 time. Marit's aunt finished something for her that she thought her aunt had quit. It was her bunad!  Later, Hanna came to tell Marit that Nazis had stolen things from her in the middle of the night. At school the next morning, her teacher said that they had to close down the schools because of "fuel shortages". And then, soldiers rush in & capture her! Bestefar was acting strange lately, so Marit ran off & while she was outside, someone told her not to leave or she would be killed. He really was trying to get her attention. He was super sick so she will help him because he was for Norway, not Germany.

The Moniter went to Fortress Monroe. When they got to the ocean a storm came!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  The good air turned into bad air!!!!! No one could breath !!!!!!!!  They had to go to the turret to breath!!1 Tom passed out so did some other sailors!!!!!  The other sailors that made it helped the passed out sailors get up. Everybody did jobs and the Moniter survied!!!!! When they got to Fortess Monroe they were told that the Merrimac was all ready here!!!!! She mostly destoryed everything!!!!!!!!!!!!!  The captin asked when it whould come back.

Iron Thunder- Catherine- 71- 98 (3/31/11)

Garrett and his friends helped Tom get away from Mr.Quinn. He gold gave the golden dollars to Garrett(he really just got them after he saw that Tom threw them.) Mr. O'Keefe finds out all about the copperhead from Tom and they tell his mom. They all think it's safer to let him sleep in the Moniter. So he does. Captain Walden finds him in the morning and they sell out to New York, so he can find sailors. They find about 48 of them. Then Tom decides if he wants to really sell on the Monitor and fight a real battle in the Civil War.

    Today I read that Charlotte went to Rhonda's Cut and Curl to see if she gets the job or not. When she walks in she sees Mrs.Contie Agnes's friend's mom there getting some curls. So when she is done talking weith her she says that she has the job and that her parents were good with it. So Rhonda said that they could go over and meet her and say hey. When they got over to Rhonda's aunt's house they ring the doorbell but they couldn't do it again because it takes her a long time to get to the door. When they go insidde it looke nice an dit has old fashioned furniture in there, stairway that had red carpet on it. When Charlotte first sees her she said that she had her left side of her face is drooping, her mouth his turned down on the same side, speech problems too. When they leave Charlotte asked Rhonda if she likes her and she said yes she liked her. When Charlotte got home she went to the backyard to see how much water Beaugaurd had left in his bowl, he had only a little left but all he wanted was a belly rub. 
    The next day it was Charlotte's birthday, Oct.13. For desert they have chocolate fudge cake for her birthday. After dinner Rhonda's husband calls and says that they baby is coming and that she needs you to start the job early tomorrow after school form 4:30. 
    The next day after school Charlotte had to go to the P.O. to get Petunia's mail for her. When she got there she went into her house and she read her mail and then they went to go sitdown and she wanted to read and so did Charlotte but Charlotte finished her book. The book Petunia was reading was a murdurring book, sh egot to grossed out about it. After they read Petunia asked Charlotte if she wanted any cookies and lemonade and she got some. When Charlotte left she had $10 in her pocket.

       Tonight, in the first chapter, it told the history of the city, and entroduced the characters. In the second chapter things got a lot more interesting. A little girl showed up on a horse in the city. Her name was Ruby and she didn't know her parents' names. No one knew who she was, and no one claimed her either. Miss Arbutus volunteered to have her as her child because her husbon died a few months earlier. When Ruby first started living at her house, Miss Arbutus decided to name her Ruby June because that was when she came. When Ruby June was about seven, she started going to school and doing chores for Miss Arbutus. When Ruby June was still about seven, a traveler came to their house and asked them if they wanted his goat. They bought it from him and Ruby June named it Jethro.

It's Christmas time but it it is not as merry as all the other Christmases. The Germans are making more silly rules & one of them is they have to learn all the Nazi (German) language and religion.      Today I read that Charlotte wanted to get money by raking up leaves and snow for Mrs.Strickland so she can get pade and sell Beaugaurd but Dustin Greenfield got it before her. So Charlotte thought that Luanne could think of something she could do. So she went over to her house to see if she could think of something to do so they wen tup to he room to think about it. Her mom came upstairs to see what she was doing. It was Luanne's mom and dad's aniversry that day and they were going out to eat and goin gto the movies. So Luanne's mom said Luanne's hair looked so good the other day she wanted to Charlotte to do hers like it too. 
     Charlotte finds out a way to get the money to sell Beaugaurd, she figures out how she is going to pay her dad. Monday they were goin gon a fieldtrip to the new shelter. So when they got there she was so embarassed because she came in with Beaugaurd and she was afraid that she might say something and the police with now and will tell her mom and dad. So when they were on the tour they went into the adoption room. Kathleen was walking up and down the rows to answer questions and she saw Luanne, Charlotte, and Grace over at the dog. She said that she remebered them from the other day when they came to get Beaugaurd. Charlotte, Grace, and Luanne went home together after school and got a snack and went to Rhonda's Cut and Curl to see it Charlotte could get a job but she couldn't because she had to have a hair dreeser license to do it. Then Charlotte asked if she could sweep and she could. So Rhonda also offered her to go dheck on the old lady across the street. She would get paided $10 a week Monday through Friday.

I read about when Homer sees that Squint keeps old beaver pelts in his meat cellar and it smells to heaven.  Then Homers realizes that Squint is drunk all the time .  Then I learned that Homer and Harold are so poor that their power goes out most of the time.   Harold calms her down when the lights go out at night.                                                                                                                                                       

Hayden Dog Days of Charlotte Hayes pg102-124

    Today I read that Charlotte got on this website called saintrescue.org to try to sell Beaugaurd. When her parents got home she quickly clicked of the site. Her parents were wet and not happy when they got home. The next morning Charlotte's mom was in a good mood because Justin Lee slept through the night without waking up. She asked Charlotte what she did and all she did was read to him and play with his toys. Charlotte was looking in the newspaper and she saw her dad's ad. She was waiting to get a call, someone called but it sounded like Darth Varder. While sh ewas in the bathroom the phone rang again and her dad answered the phone instead of her.

   When Charlotte got out of the bathroom she heard her dad talking on the phone with this lady about selling Beaugaurd to her an she would pay$300 for him. Charlotte lied and said that this other lady said that she would buy him for $400. But really she was going to turn around and give it to the shelter. Her mom and dad were really mad at her for telling them about that and it did not even happen. Then Charlotte says that she was going to pay $400 for Beaugaurd to(keep.) She would get the food and all the other stuff for him. But her mom and dad said that she only has 3 months to get the money, it is only Feb.9 and she only has till Jan.9 and she will have to pay the money for Beaugaurd.

Amy and Kendra camouflage. When Smokey drove away Hugh was waiting at the road to see Amy. Amy didn't get shot because she told Smokey that Hugh wasn't sleeping. Smokey does another film.  Amy does clues about what car they thugs have and to question the nanny.  Amy's friend found out the 1st clue!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 Today I  read that Annabelle and Tiffany went to school and explored. They saw Nora. When they were in a classroom and girl wanted to play with them.They are having fun.

The Meanest Doll in the World- Catherine- 211- 244 (3/29/11)

   Grandma Katherine just looks for The Captain in Kate's room, which he is not there, and doesn't even care about the mess. That was just the beginning...... Tiffany and Annabelle go on an exploration together to the attic and Annabelle shares all of her personal things with Tiffany. Well..... I think Mean Mimi was there and heard everything she said, so when Annabelle was in the Barbie camper Mean Mimi came and said that Tiffany and Annie Sarah were going on an exploration without her( because one of Annabelle's secrets was that she felt like she wasn't brave.)That hurt Annabelle's feelings. Tiffany and Annabelle were no longer friends. THE BEST PART!!!!!!!!!!Nora had played with all the dolls the next  day and left Tiffany and her family in the Doll's house. Kate was reading her AR book when Mimi climbed out from under her bed.She crawled up the bookshelf and screamed KATE!!!!! Nora had just come in the room and saw her. Mean Mimi is now in Permanent Doll State( PDS ) and Tiffany and Annabelle are friends again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Marit finds a flyer that says ,The Norwegian  people's freedom & independence is the first command of Norway's Law, & I will follow this commandment... the duty given by a free person. She takes it to the barn and hides it .  She comes home and is shocked to hear that she can not go to the school she used to go to. So she will go somewhere else.  She is surprised that her aunt is her teacher. Later, her friend tells her that her brother is evil and that she should leave him out. His family is from GERMANY!!!! After that soaking in to her mind, there are notices that are ridiculous that say that they should WORSHIP THE GERMANS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We finally learn what happened to Miles when he went to stick his hand in the chocolate fountain.  He dropped the flashlight into the chocolate fountain.  When he tried to reach in to find it, he found a rubber duck instead.  He got chocolate all over himself.  He went to the bathroom to clean himself up.  His flashlight dimmed because of the chocolate.  He was in the dark until he got close to the Cocoa Room.  Then he saw a flashlight coming from the room.  He went inside to find out who it was because he knew someone was trying to steal the secret ingredient.  Someone grabbed him.

While Joseph, David & Zachary were in the cave they overheard some men talking.  They were looking for two escaped slaves.  They said there was a $500 reward for them.  That night those men knocked on the door looking for the slaves.  Mr Byers said that he did not know anything about them.  Later when Joseph went to get milk from Daisy he found the slaves hiding in the barn.  It was two little girls named Miriam and Lily.

Tonight I READ THAT PERCY JACKSON , ANNABETH, AND GROVER SIGHT SEEING.GOING UP TO THE TOP OF THE OARCHE THEY MET THIS LADY AND ONCE THEY GOT TO THE TOP THE LADY TURNED INTO A DRAGON BUT LUCKILY PERCY DREW HIS SWORD AND KILLED THE DRAGON.

The people you see in the background ar called extras and have no lines.One of the hardest parts was to get the twins playing Manny to say Bubby in the middle of the play. Some of the daytime senes were shot at night cause of speacial lighting stuff.

Marit & her brother went to get something when Marit meets Hanna,a good friend. After that, they went to the mail place where a man calls out last names of people who get the letters. They get a letter from the family. They take it home & while they are there, a German comes to take their food!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And then he says that's not enough food. Marit comes outside and tells him that Germans get the food and they get the crumbs. He leaves in shock.   

Lauren 3/28/11 Stolen Childern 31-72

Amy and Kendra were kidnapped!!!!!   The people who kidnapped them were Smokey and Hugh.  When Amy and Kendra's mom found out they called the police.(the note said not to do that!!!)  Amy and Kendra had stale crackers for dinner!!!  Ewwwwwwwwwwwww!!!!!!!!!!!  The next day Smokey started to video Amy and Kendra. He told them to say they were all right!!!!!!!  When  Smokey went to mail the video  and Hugh fell asleep Amy grabbed some food and left!!!!!!!!   When Hugh woke up he found out they were gone!!!  He ran after them and thought he would shot Amy when they leave!!!!!!!!  Amy's best friend slept with Amy's mom because she thought Amy's mom was lonely.  Smokey figured out Kendra's mom called the police!!!!  Amy gave clues in the DVD by starching her ear!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (She remembered it in her book!!!!)

Marion and her family are free! They found an abandoned farmhouse that was probaly jewish. Then some time later they're father died ,Albert, had to bury him the rest were to weak. Marion finily let her mom shave her head because of lice.

Hayden The Dog Days of Charlette Hayes pg.82-102

      Charlotte's dad was saying that there was dog thief rings and that Killer was probalu already across the state lines. Charlotte and her mom had a talk about how her mom was to upset that Killer was gone. Also how she was tired of buying dog food and it was hard to bugget diapers. The next day when she came home she got a grape-soda and went upstairs to her room and heard a bark, and it was Beaugaurd in the backyard. She was surprised to see him there and her dad spent one hour playing with him. Charlotte's dad worried about how the dognapper got in their yard if Beaugard was a watch dog. He decided it might be a good idea to sell Beaugaurd for $300 to $400. Charlotte had a bad dream that night that Beaugaurd went to a home that they were mean to him. She is now worried about what type of new home Beaugaurd will have. 


     Charlotte babysits Justin Lee while her mom and dad go to Anges's homecoming thing. She played with Justin Lee then he had to go to bed. It started raining and Charlotte began to worry about Beaugaurd being soaking wet with the rain. She got a bucket and made a ruff for Beaugaurd's to small dog house.

This section is from Miles's point of view. Miles's parents kept telling him not to talk backwards & not to talk about the afterlife. Miles wonders about the afterlife because he saw a girl drown.  Miles thinks something bad happened to Logan.

     Tonight I read that all of Kate's dolls were trying to make a plan to capture Mimi. All Annabelle wants to do is just let her get caught on her own, when the rest of the group wants to trap Mimi in the barbie camper and either teach her kindness or disipline. Well.... Mimi comes by the Doll's house that night and Mimi copies whatever anybody says. Well, that doesn't work out that well for Mimi because Bobby tricks her into saying something that she really is, but she doesn't think so. Finally they all agree to make a trap for Mimi, so she'll get stuck in the barbie camper and won't be able to come out. Well... The Captain goes into Mimi's trap and destroys it. Grandma Katherine had just walked in the front door.
