I read about when Sam couldn't see well and he thought he got licked in the eyes. Sam saw an unknown face in the shadows, it was Madam. She was trying to catch Sam. Madam tricked Sam into going to the pound. Then Cassuis told Sam that he was unwanted and flawed. Then he said, "take another step back" and it was a trap.
