The Doctor diagnosed Cedar with cussitis. He told Cedar it was because he was angry over the death of his mother. later that night ruby went to go visit the Reeders, she met the whole family. Bird began to cry over the girl that was eaten by the panther on Yonder Mountain. This made Ruby think about how she ended up 

in Way Down. After a long talk with Mrs.Arbutus she decided to talk with the sheriff about the mystery. 

The sheriff agreed to go to Virginia to investigate. Ruby wants to learn about her past.
