Charolotte and her dad went to a yard sale down the road. Mom stayed behine because she wanted to give Justin Lee a bath. They saw a cordless drill and oil pastels. They saw someone else trying to get those to, so her dad ran and got the oil patels from the table and went home. Her dad got the oil pastels for her mom because her mom always said that she wanted a painting over the couch. He also got it so it would make her feel happy and not depressed.
The next day Charolotte and Luanne went to go sit with Grace Walters at lunch. After school Charolotte went to go over to Grace's house. They were in her mom's car and it smelled like perfumm, and fresh. When they got to Grace's house Charolotte was so amazed at it. She thought that their living room was bigger than her whole first floor of her house. When Carolotte got to Grace's house she saw that Grace already had a dog, and her plan would not work. So she comes up with a lie about Justin Lee being allergic to dogs. She thought this story would make Grace's mom feel sorry for her and get Beaugaurd.
