Annie found a prince named Cozwald. He said he was trying to find his beloved Lizette that got kidnapped by an ogre. They went into the castle and found Lizette playing cards with the ogre.  Cozwald tried to fight the ogre but Lizette told him to stop.  She told Cozwald that her mother died after she was born and whenever she laughed her father told her to stop because it was all her fault that her mother died.Lizette never laughed again until Grimsby ( the ogre) made her laugh the became best friends and were soon getting married.eww !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is a great book and the people who like fantsy will love it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
