  Reynie  sticky and Kate get the message .  It said, " Always take the shortcut,". Since Sticky sticks things in his mind , He remembers yesterdays newspaper about the ship named the "SHORTCUT". They get on and they see Madge who had randomly followed them to the ship. Then they meet Mr. Noland and canonball.
